STUDENT INCENTIVES AND SPECIAL |
Organizers of the 2025 Joint Annual Meeting in Tulalip, WA have included several opportunities that may be of special interest to students. These include:
- Possible free lodging incentive based on an application review process (see below)
- Registration fee at one-third of regular registration rate
- Further reduced student registration fee ($50/student) if your academic institution chooses to provide a special student support sponsorship (4 students or more)
- Resume review and elevator speech sessions (indicate interest during registration, details in final program)
- Ice-breaker reception on Tuesday evening
- Attendee (Student-Professional) Social Mixer on Wednesday evening
- Breakfast with a Wildlifer for mentoring and job prospects information on Thursday morning
- Ad hoc discussions throughout the Meeting (just introduce yourselves!)
Free student lodging will be available for use during the Joint Annual Meeting in March 2025. Selection of qualifying students will be based on submitted applications. Undergraduate and graduate students in biological and natural resources programs in the U.S. and Canada that have an interest in attending the Joint Meeting are encouraged to apply for a lodging incentive. The incentive is free lodging for 3 nights (March 25, 26, 27) at Tulalip Resort in Tulalip, WA, the host facility for the Joint Meeting. Student rooms will have up to 4 persons (same gender) in each room. Any students selected will be expected to volunteer 4 hours of time prior to or during the Joint Meeting to help with the event. This incentive is part of efforts to promote student participation in the Joint Meeting and make the cost of meeting attendance more affordable for students. Special consideration is given to those having affiliations with any of the organizing partners for the Meeting.

12 February 2025. Submission information is on the application form. Mark your calendars and apply early, if possible.
